Peace Baby Monitor is built and maintained by Uzair Nazir, a solo Apple developer. There's no marketing site beyond the App Store listing, no parent company, no support team. The privacy policy is hosted on a Google Sites page, which is normal for solo-dev iOS apps but worth flagging if you expect enterprise-grade documentation.

Solo developers can ship excellent products — much of the App Store's long tail is built this way. The realistic trade-off is response time on bugs, longevity if the developer moves on to other projects, and the breadth of testing on different iPhone models and iOS versions. Tuck is $14.99/month or $99.99/year, with a 14-day free trial. One plan, includes everything: continuous monitoring, two-way talk, trained cry detection, AI scene understanding, morning sleep diary, a curated lullaby library, and free family viewer access. Peace is much cheaper on sticker price, but doesn't offer AI features or offline coverage at any tier.

Features — the 'Cry Alarm' tagline overpromises

Peace's tagline is 'Baby Camera Cry Alarm Lullaby.' The documented feature list is narrower than that suggests: live video, live audio, two-way talk, lullaby playback. There is no documented cry-detection classifier, no motion detection, no sound-triggered alerts, no recording, no night vision, no scene understanding. The 'Cry Alarm' wording in the title is not backed up by an actual cry-classifier algorithm in the public feature list.

Tuck includes trained cry detection (an actual classifier, not a generic sound threshold), AI scene understanding, a curated lullaby library, and a written morning sleep diary — all in its single $14.99/month plan.

Offline mode and trust posture

Peace runs over Wi-Fi or cellular (3G/4G/5G — hence the app name). There is no Bluetooth fallback and no documented offline or airplane-mode support. If both networks drop, the monitor link drops with them.

Tuck falls back to a custom Bluetooth Coded PHY link when Wi-Fi and cellular are unavailable — designed for hotel rooms, flights, and cabins.

Peace advertises end-to-end encryption. Tuck uses DTLS-SRTP encrypted media (LiveKit / WebRTC) with a 30-day TTL on encrypted cry-moment snapshots (opt-out, no continuous cloud video). Peace additionally claims zero data collection, which is consistent with a solo-developer app with no analytics infrastructure to maintain. No publicly documented security incidents on either app as of April 2026.

Ratings and track record

Peace does not yet have an aggregate App Store rating in the US — the listing reports 'not enough ratings' as of April 2026. That means there isn't enough public data to evaluate user satisfaction.
